Whoever Finds This I Love You
(originally released as a single in 1976,
this is the exact same version)
On a quiet street in the city a little old man walked alone
Shuffling through the autumn afternoon
And the autumn leaves reminded him
Another summer's come and gone
He had a lonely lonely night ahead waiting for June
Then among the leaves a near the orphans home
A piece of paper caught his eye
And he stooped to pick it up with trembling hands
And as he read the childish writing the old man began to cry
'Cause the words burned inside him like a brand
Whoever finds this I love you
Whoever finds this I need you
I ain't even got no one to talk to
So whoever finds this I love you
Well the old man's eyes searched the orphan's home
And he came to rest upon a little child
With her nose pressed up against the window pane
And the old man knew he'd found a friend at last
So he waved at her and smiled
And they both knew they'd spend the winter laughing at the rain
And they did spend the winter laughing at the rain
Talking through the fence and exchanging little gifts they'd made for each
other
The old man would carve toys for the little girl
And she'd draw pictures of beautiful ladies for him
And they laughed a lot
But when the first day of June came
And the little girl ran to the fence and the old man wasn't there
She waited for a while
But somehow she knew he was never coming back
So she went back to her little room
And took her crayola and then she wrote

Bringing
It Back
If I could never see you
If I could never hold you
If I could never touch your face
Or feel your warm embrace
I'd still remember laughin'
I'd still remember talkin'
I'd still remember lovin' a lot
Just touchin' you, you know I've not forgot
'Cause everything is just
Brining it back
You know it's bringing it back
A familiar place or a familiar face
Just brings it all back
Everything is just bringing it back
A good song's bringing it back
After so much time you know everything's
Bringing it back
I'm thinking in my solitude
Just wonderin' about your attitude
Thinking maybe that your love has died
But there it is, I can see it in your eye
You look the sweet surrender
But with a touch of too much sadness
'Cause I hurt you so, you know your sorrow shows
And you just can't stay but you know that you can't let go

All Our Favorite Songs
(originally released as a
single in 1976,
this is the exact same version)
The other day we dropped by an all day singin' with dinner on the ground
And they were having a big family reunion
There were kids runnin' everywhere
In fact, I believe there were probably three or four generations of families
That had all come back home
I couldn't help but notice this one old couple that was sittin' all alone by
themselves
And I overheard somebody say, "You know I bet they're really lonesome on a day
like this,
'cause they've never had any kids of their own."
Well, it made me a little bit sad because the old couple overheard that
statement.
But they just looked at each other and smiled real big.
Then the old man turned to me and he said,
"Son, I know that only the Good Lord is supposed to answer prayers.
But let me tell you somethin' that me and Mama told Him a long time ago."
I know that we have not been blessed
The same as other folks may be
For we can't have children of our own
But though imagination we'll have a family
And we'll name them after all our favorite songs
We'll name the first one that we have 'Rock Of Ages'
And 'The Lilly of the Valley' we'll name number two
And 'Amazing Grace' we'll gladly name our third one
But we'll surely name one 'Jesus' after You
I know that most every family has a black sheep
And 'I'll Fly Away' should be his name
But through love and understanding we won't let him
Do anything at all to bring You shame

Joy
Comes In The Morning
If you've knelt beside the rubble of an aching, broken heart
When the things you gave your life for fell apart
You're not the first to be acquainted with sorrow, grief, or pain
But the Master promised sunshine after rain
Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning
Weeping only lasts for the night
Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning
The darkest hour means dawn is just in sight
To invest your seed of trust in God, in mountains you can't move
You have risked your life on things you cannot prove
Oh but to give the things you can not keep for what you cannot lose
Is the way to find the joy God has for you
