OMG, STOP THE MADNESS!!!! Universal has no shame! This the fourth greatest hits package that they have released since 2000.....and it's all the same material!!!
What can be said here that hasn't already been said? We have twelve songs here, all mega hits, so you can't go wrong in listening to them. But how many of these collections do we really need??? I don't believe for one second that fans continue to buy these.
For the new fan, looking to get an overview of the Oaks history, I suppose this would suffice. However, with so many compilations to choose from, this is not the ideal one to buy. For the most comprehensive overview, I recommend the double CD, Gold. You'll spend a few more bucks, but it's worth it.
If Universal is going to continue to put out these compilations, the lease they could do is give us fans some incentive to buy them. Say, add one or two songs that have never been previously released on CD such as all the b-sides on the 80's singles, or God forbid, a song that was recorded but left off an album. Throw us die-hards a bone, would ya?!?!? We've got the money to spend....give us a reason to do it!!!
